we could've had it all

i drove to provo and back this evening for my dear dear friend Sarah's birthday dinner at tucano's (yes, i am entirely stuffed). that's the second round trip i've had to provo in the last 3 days.
but on this particular drive, i had some time to think (like i do most long commutes) and i realized something about myself, and about the dreaded "friend zone".
i know that most girls think that guys put them into the friend zone, and vice versa, however, i determined that it is actually me (myself? I?) that puts myself into the friend zone with guys. i am the one to blame. i automatically make myself the best friend, make myself readily available (i don't like playing "the game" guys) for whatever my guy friends need, which essentially, puts me in the friend zone. it automatically says to the guys: "i'm a friend, a good friend. you don't have to bother pursuing this, because we're just friends"
this is detrimental to my {non-existing} dating life! i need to re-evaluate how i approach guys, and how to let them know that, even though we're friends, that it's okay to ask me out on a date, and to pursue a bit, otherwise, i really won't ever get married...
