moving on...

a week ago, i was left without a job.
two days from now, i start anew...in west valley city.
yes folks, i am moving on to bigger and better things.
(kind of)
i went up there this morning for an interview, went to check out some apartments, went back for more interviews and by the time i hit sandy (and chipotle) i had a new job.
i start friday.
and i'm KIND OF freaking out.
a 45 minute commute TWICE a day?
true, it won't be as bad as driving to LA, but still.
come august, i'll hopefully be moving up to salt lake so the commute won't be as bad.
but until then, i'll be doing provo --> west valley city 5 days a week.

but hey, i finally get to have a reason to move to salt lake!!

  1. Props on the new job! I did that drive for 3 years, and it is a little... ok a lot... lame. But you do what you've gotta do, right? It's worth it for a job you like and a sweet paycheck. And Salt Lake is pretty awesome - I'm excited for you to head that direction. Congrats again!

  2. What's your job? That's so exciting! That means Real games all the time and Chipotle for you on a weekly basis. When you move up there, I'll have to come see your pad. Way be a grown-up, Kayla.

  4. hannah! well, of course i added you to the side. makes it easier for me to blogstalk you! :)
and thanks! it truly was pure luck that i scored this job so quickly. craigslist. sometimes there are sketchy ads, and they aren't always reliable, but this one, TOTES lucked out. of course, it means commuting, but hey, it's a job so i can't complain too much, right?
and i am a program specialist at a company that works with disabled adults, getting them jobs, housing, and interacting in the community. i basically handle all the finances for them. it's the big time, for sure. but so far so good!
enjoy mexico! and good luck on your future job searches! it's a tough market, but i'm sure you'll find something suitable :)
