- there are very few items in this world that one must be a snob about and pay full price for (aka, going for name brand stuff instead of generic). i found out this week that toothpaste definitely is one of those. saves you money (and your taste buds) in the long run. {toilet paper is another one of those, but i've never compromised when it comes to my bum. too much? oh well}
- never walk into target with the intention of "just browsing" when you don't really have money to spend. you'll end up walking out with two bags full and a wallet that's {hypothetically} $40 lighter.
- also, never go into target when there are fall/halloween decorations on sale. favorite holiday + discounts = kayla going overboard
- flirting with your chiropractor is totally legit and completely acceptable. especially if he's flirting back. hey, no one else is taking advantage of the fact that i'm single and totally ready to mingle. (and guys, remember, he's only 30. he's not some gross old geezer. sick)
- flicking your finger at your mac camera will make it come back to life
- putting pumpkin spice into a vanilla bean is not only delicious, but it makes you want to have more {i say it's a bit of an addictive substance}
- don't drive north on 1300 east from sandy to salt lake because "you're closer to the mountains that way"--it takes forever. just take the freeway, it's quicker.
- do drive up emigration canyon on a sunday afternoon to see the changing leaves
- don't wear a flowy dress with no slip under it. you might have to hold it down with one hand while taking pics with the other because of the wind on top of the mountain
- pumpkin cookies and pistachio pudding do not constitute a meal (though they are both delicious)
- and finally, Kayla is a chicken. but really, i think i already knew that.
