I really am though, like, a month behind.
there's been sham rock n roll.
powderpuff.
RSL and LA Galaxy games.
softball/tune up tournament.
general conference.
i mean, i still have pictures on my camera that haven't even made it onto my computer yet.
so rather than bore you all with minuet details, i'll post favorites from all the activities thus far:
- sham rock n roll: getting a last minute flip cup team together (me, natalie, jess and lindsay) and having lindsay tell us that she can't chug. at all. i wasn't too concerned because really i knew we would probably lose since 3 of us had never played. boy was i surprised when we came through and won it in the last seconds! too bad it started raining shortly thereafter so the rest of the competition was cancelled.
- powderpuff: freezing cold. but so much fun. until we lost. for reasons i don't want to discuss over the blogosphere. but it's nice to be able to show off some of my {lack luster} football skills. people seemed to be impressed. i suppose. it's not that exciting, really.
- RSL/LA Galaxy game: SO GREAT! i drove up early that day to look at apartments for kiks, wandered around gateway, went to gourmandise, then watched basketball with brad until it was time for the game. it was slightly drizzly/cold, but we were prepared enough. i rooted for RSL because i'm really just a donovan/beckham fan, and my real team is DC, but anyway. RSL won 4-1. fave part? seeing jimmer fredette on the big screen during the game and having RSL score their 3rd goal at the same time. i'd say The Jimmer's skills follow him off the basketball court too...
- Tune-up Tournament!: i.love.summer. and the start of softball just reminds me of summer. i worked 5 games friday night (and got to sit outside for two of them) and then instead of having to come in at 8 the next morning (which i was originally scheduled for) i came in at 1 to watch a game/eat lunch and chat before my shift started at 2. I worked 2 until 8:30. unfortunately it was windy and then got slightly rainy so i didn't sit outside, but it was still lovely. :)
- General Conference: always a good time. i watched saturday morning and then left for work so i missed the second session. but sunday, loved. breakfast at sunshine, conference all day (in pjs, of course) and then spent the entire rest of the day/night there. i love listening to the words of the apostles. and being able to do so from the comfort of my own (or others') home.
