so what do i do now?

clearly, i've found the best use of my (abundant amount of) time: watch the history channel and learn how the states got their shapes.
if you know me, you know i LOVE history. this delves into history, and explains things i wouldn't have even thought to wonder about. but now i have an exorbitant amount of useless information about states and battles and territory disputes.
like, did you know there were two states named jefferson and franklin?
did you also know that the mason-dixon line was put into place NOT because of slavery, but actually BEFORE slavery (and the civil war) was an issue?
did you know the earth isn't ACTUALLY round, but more oval/squished (thank you astronomy, for teaching me about this principle previously)?
and did you know that although ellis island is one island, it is actually part of both the state of new york and the state of new jersey? yeah, haven't figured that one out either...

oh the things i can learn now that i have all this time on my hands!
my options are limitless.
and i am thrilled about it.
