"affection [teaches] us first to notice, then to endure, then to smile at, then to enjoy, and finally to appreciate, the people who 'happen to be there'...[it] 'does not expect too much', turns a blind eye to faults, revives easily after quarrels...opens our eyes to goodness we could not have seen, or should not have appreciate without it." -C.S. Lewis

"Love does things for reasons that reason cannot understand."

"Before you, my life was like a moonless night. Very dark, but there were stars--points of light and reason...And then you shot across my sky like a meteor. Suddenly everything was on fire; there was brilliancy, there was beauty. When you were gone, when the meteor had fallen over the horizon, everything went black. Nothing had changed, but my eyes were blinded by the light. I couldn't see the stars anymore. And there was no more reason for anything."

"i am heaven sent, don't you dare forget, i am all you ever wanted, but what the other boys all promised"

"call me a safe bet, i'm betting i'm not. i'm glad that you can forgive, i'm only hoping as time goes you can forget"
