i'll admit. i'm a stalker. facebook, blog, whatever.
proud of it.
well, during one of my blog stalks, i found this quote and someone's insight on it.
i completely agree.
i've always felt that way, but didn't think that anyone else believed it, and so i kept it to myself.
but FINALLY.
i believe that although there may be more than one person for everybody, sometimes you feel like it's right with a particular person: you like them, they like you, things are good. you're just waiting for that next step.
out of the "just friends" realm and into the "relationship" realm, where it could be short term, or bound for long term, engagement, marriage, FAMILY and eternity.
sometimes though, the timing is wrong.
maybe you're not on the same page.
maybe someone is still holding on to their past.
maybe someone needs to do some growing on their own first, before they can be a couple.
maybe the feelings aren't strong enough yet.
maybe, maybe someone is leaving, and doesn't know when they're coming back.
and maybe the other person isn't sure how strong they could be long distance, if it's worth it to even try.
i experienced this once before. i felt it was right. they didn't. i still feel it's right. they've moved on.
i decided to bide my time, knowing that the timing wasn't right. that their not right answer could be because of any of those issues. it could be them, it could've been me. either way, i waited. and i'll continue to wait. as many should because of this. (i've posted this before. i just love it. he also reiterated this story in the Young Women's broadcast during conference. SO GREAT)
in retrospect, perhaps i should've tried harder, should've gone for it.
so in my opinion, take me advice:
make it work.
work through those issues together.
it's what makes couples stronger.
and if the friendship or whatever is good enough already, if things don't work out, then the friends can remain.
not all break ups have to be on bad terms.
it IS possible to just be friends.
POST EDIT: I found this tidbit on cjane's blog. this is what i felt. this is how i knew it was right: I say impression because it was a thought in my head that infused a solid sense of peace on my soul. It was a revelation divinely implanted. I felt absolute joy in the quietest part of me. I knew. Listen to the thoughts He sends to your mind and heart. If they are messages that induce chills, host butterflies in either the throat or stomach, or fill your being with sheer happiness they are of God. If they are messages that seem impossible, miraculous or just a little bit scary they are of God. They also can be simple waves of quiet confidence in knowing you are headed in the right direction. Anyway you feel it, trust it. Believe me, trust it. Even/ especially when you forget/lose hope.
