yup!
i have stepped out of the world of post graduate living, depending on my mother and have gotten myself a full time job!
okay okay, my friend kayli actually told me about the opening since it's where she works, but still!
it's 40 hours a week and there's NO ENDING DATE!
this is pretty big news, especially for me.
well, i guess technically there COULD be, once i start law school, but for now, it's pretty permanent!
it's kind of scary, thinking i'm "stuck" out here for the next little while, but i suppose that would've happened with any job i found after graduation.
anyway, a little about my job:
it's at a private investigation firm, Walter Johnson and Associates.
located in Moorpark, just over the mountain from my house (and within my stake boundaries), so a 15 minute drive.
and i'm working as a typist.
i know, not super exciting, but Walter Johnson was impressed that i had my BA already, and that's a first for me out here. (or anywhere for that matter).
basically, i listen to recorded statements/interviews and i type them up verbatim.
it's tough, but it makes the day go by way fast.
and there's only three of us in the office, the office girls. they're way nice (and it helps that i already knew kayli)
and the investigators are cool too.
today was my second day and so far so good!
it's nice having a normal schedule/paycheck.
perhaps i'll finally be able to:
pay off my debt
DO things that involve money :)
