my new obsession

anyone that knows me know that i obsess over things (and have a gazillion and one favorites, but we've covered that before)

and it's not a scary-stalker-i'm-going-to-kidnap-you obsess. (although, i have thought about it at times...jokes)

it's more of, i-can't-get-enough-i-want-more obsessions.

they're the same, right?

our children would be destined to have DARK DARK features, but that's ok. (he's half filipino, half irish. i'm quarter mexican, quarter spanish, half whatever my mother brings).

oh, they would also be blessed/cursed with wild crazy CURLY hair. i might be okay with that as well.

i would never get my dream of blonde haired, blue eyed children (or even dark haired, blue eyed children) but again, OKAY WITH THAT.

seriously. LOVE.

i stayed up wayyyy later than i should have last night watching interviews of him.

he is hilarious.

it's a good thing i have a friend that knows him, personally too.

favorites

everyone has them. you can't deny it. whether it be a favorite movie, a favorite food/candy/sweet, a favorite spot, or a favorite person/child/friend/whatever.

my sister (who is the 2nd child) happens to be the favorite in our family. haven't really figured that one out yet, and despite my parents refusal to admit it, we all know it's true. however, my brother, is also the favorite, for the mere reason that he's 1) the youngest and 2) the only boy. so he's the favorite through technicalities.

i have been called out (on more than one occasion) on my urge to call everything my favorite. at first i would deny that i do this, but i have come to see over the last couple years that i do in fact say that about a lot of things. people, music, movies. i guess that just means i'm generally easily pleased. there's not much someone or something can do to get on my bad side. and my favorites change a lot too depending on time, wants, needs, etc.
there are a few things that i can say will be in at least my top 5 of favorite ______ (fill in the blank with whatever it is we're discussing) forever. they might shift within those 5, but always be there.

now, people, that's a tough one. i have lots of favorites there. is that so wrong? is it likened to having more than one best friend (which you can in fact have, all you naysayers) i was thinking about this at work today (don't ask how i started thinking about it, i couldn't tell you. my mind is a complex thing) and i decided that this post would come of that thinking. so, with only the first position being immovable, i give you my list of favorite (right now) people. and really, it's nbd that the majority of them are guys. i get along better with guys. (and that's all i could think of when i was at work. not gonna lie, guys are always on my mind, give me a break, i'm a girl. i like them)

now these people are all great in their own right. they make me laugh, they give great hugs, they're amazing people, give me great advice or just talk to me and are my friend when i need them. (and really, this list is not all inclusive. i just can't think of more awesome people, at the moment)
