what makes a great weekend

there's a recipe for a successful weekend.
it's not written in stone, so it can be changed to fit your needs/lifestyle.
mine this weekend consisted of these things:

BOTH of my football teams winning their games
having my sister visit from California
getting a birthday/care package from my momma with yummy things from Trader Joes (and other birthday presents that have yet to be opened)
sitting/standing for 4 hours in the bitter cold at a familiar stadium, with my sister, watching my alma mater play an in-state rival
watching said alma mater's dance team dance to gangnam style
attending one of the best sessions of General Conference of my life with both of my sisters (and of course crying through it all)
shopping and seeing old friends
watching more General Conference
naps during Priesthood session
eating pizza at The Pie (and meeting an Aussie, who would just talk so we could listen to him)
visiting more old friends during Sunday's session
more naps
and watching a really awful 80s movie with some pretty great guys (minus one, but we'll ignore him), laughing the entire time, and being made to feel like one of the roommates, despite the fact that you live down the street

it really does feel like fall now. well, not so much fall as it feels like WINTER. it was frigid this weekend. and last night. leading me to be snuggled in my bed with long pants, long socks, a sweatshirt, a comforter, my newly purchased BYU sweater blanket and my quilt. oh, and waking up to a frost covered windshield is da best! not.

2 weeks until my birthday. 2 weeks until i take off for the east coast (where hopefully the weather is more fall-like than it is here in Utah)

i'm going to post some insights into what i've learned in my 25 years of life in the next week or so. right now, i need to go watch revenge, once upon a time, and maybe actually start working. or eating my krispy kreme donut....
