Top 20...again!

i sure am glad that they kept the top 20 again this week.
sure, that means that four will be cut tomorrow, but still...

ryan and ricky
sexy. but ryan smiles too much for me to believe it.

mitchell and caitlynn
wow. seriously? ah-freaking-mazing stacy tookey. you never cease to amaze me with your choreography!
that is an emmy nominated dance, definitely.
it always seems to be the really emotional dances that get those noms. and for good reason.

missy and wadi
cha cha. i love. but this will be so tough for wadi, being a b-boy.
oh yup, he looks so awkward. sad. he looks more feminine than he should too. but it's tough to look manly in the cha cha. he's got the steps though, but you can't overlook the awkwardness. yikes. i agree with nigel, he was a strong partner for her, but the technique was lacking, which is to be expected.

iveta and nick
bollywood. love. let's see how they do with this one...
wow. i think they both did really well. she looked so comfortable doing this and nick surprisingly did not look as awkward as i thought it would be for a white guy.

miranda and robert
nappytabs!!!
woodpecker? interesting... they're really into character hip hop pieces lately. i like it. some spots it looked like they were really thinking about what they were doing, rather than just dancing through it. but i liekd it. i think miranda did a great job with that hip hop piece with small isolations. robert is a hip hop dancer, so i'm not surprised he did well.

jess and clarice
contemporary with stacy again!
e's too little to do lifts...but he's managing alright, i suppose. and his technique isn't perfect. although his turns are great. and obviously she is beautiful and fluid. he needs to finish his lines. from that pirouette into the battement a la second he didn't finish it, just abruptly brought it back down, so that bugged.

*aside: oh mama debbie, you're kind of creeps. haha. "hide yo kids, hide yo dancers, debbie reynolds is taking them home"*

jordan and tadd
she bugs. i'm over her. but tadd reminds me of dominic, so it's throwing me off.
viennese waltz, i think they did a really great job with that. they really felt the emotion and had the steps and the flow that it needed to look good. thanks nigel, i thought he was a contemporary dancer, thanks for reminding me that he is a B-BOY. wow.

marko and melanie
jazz with mandy. love.
i loved this piece for the old fahsioned feel on a new concept. loved the bowler hats. and ohmygosh her legs. insane. so great. they needed long cigarettes for that ending pose. ha. seriously.

sasha and alexander
nappytabs again! love.
espesh love the lyrical hip hop. good, but i think he needed more facials. he was just so...blah, emotionless. she did great, obvs. a great concept though.

ashley and chris
i love spencer liff!!! gah!
thank GHANDI it's not tyce choreographing this one.
no words. NO.WORDS. spencer you are a genius. brill. gah. so much sexier than ryan and ricky's piece. and chris' strength on those bars?! holy cow.

it's gonna be a tough decision to cut people tomorrow night, because the last two weeks have been pretty awesome.

  1. gf! i am so glad you posted to tell me about your company! i looked around the site for a bit and it seems awesome. can you give me any more details about you do specifically? working with clients would be amazing, but i kinda think i really just want an office job right now.

also, where can i watch sytycd episodes? my mom says this season is fantastic and the songs are really great. since we seem to have similar tastes in music, which numbers/songs do you think are the best to rewatch?
