anyone who rags on Provo obviously never lived here.
we've got some happening things going down.
take this weekend for example.
the riverwoods (co-owned by donny osmond's son, don osmond, jr) is a shopping plaza that was never very popular, people forgot about it, until now.
they've re-done it. new shops, restaurants, activities. it's a happening place.
this weekend they threw Jam the River, a two day event of performances and give aways.
Saturday's all day line-up concluded with: an appearance by THE Jimmer Fredette (guys, i was mere FEET away from him!!) and an hour long show performed by none other than SUGAR RAY.
yes, you heard me right. Sugar Ray. As in Mark FREAKIN McGrath.
oh my, i felt like i was back in middle school.
such fun.
and he is still a babe. even at 43. (43! can you believe that?!)
sheesh.
oh and the hordes of hot HOT boys that were coming out of the woodwork made for an even more exciting night.
needless to say, i'll be hitting up some of provo's lesser known hot spots in the next few months if it means more eye candy for me.
(unfortunately, my camera battery was DUNZO when i got there, so no pics were to be had. and my phone was a failure, too many bright lights, i got some vids, but they have terrible sound quality. so i'll i get are some memories. good thing i have a great memory, huh?)
oh, and more 90s reminiscing? sunday nights at sunshine: boom box player playing hits from the 90s. funny how we can so readily remember the words to those songs when they came out before lyrics online were available. those were the days of GOOD music.
i had a 90's music night last night too! so good.
ReplyDeleteWait, don't you rag on Provo? I'm so happy that you were only feet away from Jimmer, must've made your night!
