My beloved Cougars, whom I have watched grow in strength since my first season at the Y in 2005, and who once held the nation's longest winning streak at 16 games, lost tonight at TCU. In a not quite repeat of the 2005 season, the Cougs didn't bring all they had, and looked very unprepared for the top defense in the nation.
Repercussions of this devastating loss to an unranked team:
- dropped HARD from our comfortable #8 spot.
- little to no chance of making a BCS bowl game, not to mention the Championship Game.
- a very difficult time getting back to the #1 spot in the MWC
- losing our 16 game winning streak
- falling behind TCU and our in-state rival Utah
- all my faith in my team is dunzo.
sad day. This is why I hate Thursday games. They're never a good sign. They should be banned from NCAA football.
